Bootcamp Frequently Asked Questions

When do Cardio Fit Bootcamps take place?
Every day, Monday-Friday at 6:00AM, 6:00PM, OR 7:00PM. Times may vary according to location and new times may be added. Classes are one hour in duration.

Where are Cardio Fit Bootcamps located?
Outdoors!  During extreme, inclement weather conditions we'll move inside otherwise we will be in the beautiful outdoors! 

In the late spring, summer, and early fall Bootcamps are held in various parks and locations through St. John’s, Mt.Pearl, Paradise, and Portugal Cove - St. Philips. We are in huge demand and are working hard to bring our Bootcamps to more communities across the province.

By late fall (November) and throughout winter, we move to indoor locations for safety reasons, however, we still go outside on those gorgeous winter days!  Click on the locations tab above for more specific location details.

Bootcamp Programs
Are offered in 4 week sessions, location depending.
1 hour a day - 3 or 5 days a week - 4 weeks

How often should I go?
Full time, part time, flex pass and drop-in options are all available. If you are looking for faster results, then Full time (5 days, Monday-Friday) is the option for you.  You choose the days you can attend with Part Time (12 classes) and Flex Passes (10 classes) if you need to ease into exercise again or are just too busy for full time right now.  You can attend any of our locations and timeslots during your 4 week session.

Do I need to be in shape to join?

No, absolutely not. NOBODY will be left behind nor asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. BUT, nobody will go home unchallenged! The program is designed for both active and inactive adults. Participants will be given modifications, adaptations and alternatives to accommodate everyone's fitness level.  Our bootcampers range from the very fit wanting a new challenge to the fitness beginner and anything else in between. We work with you to encourage you to meet your goals and push yourself to the next level. You can do this!

What results can I expect?
You really get out of this what you put into it and everyone is different. Of course, accelerated results occur when you attend the 5-day a week program. Expected results:

  • reduced body fat
  • lost inches
  • increased energy and confidence
  • increased strength and endurance
  • enhanced motivation to stay fit!

Caution: you may experience side effects such as fun and the results you were actually looking for from a fitness program!

What happens when I register?
A confirmation email will be sent to you immediately if you register online. You will receive a "Welcome" email the week before your Bootcamp begins outlining everything you need to know for Bootcamp- what to bring, what to wear, location, time, etc. If you register by phone, you will receive a "Welcome" email the week before your Bootcamp begins outlining everything you need to know for Bootcamp- what to bring, what to wear, location, time, etc.

What is a Flex Pass?
A Flex Pass is a 10 day pass to attend Bootcamp any 10 days during a 4-week session.


What if I have to miss a day?
If you know you have to miss a class due to work or family commitments, make arrangements in advance to attend another class that same day or prearrange with our office so you can 'bank' that day to be used in the future when your schedule permits.  No credit will be given for missed fit test days.

If you miss a class due to health reasons or work-family issues, you can prearrange with our office to 'bank' that day to be used in the future when your schedule permits or arrange a make up class that same day.  This doesn't apply if the pillow is too cozy at 5:30AM or you suffer from an evening couch potato attack! 

Do you have a refund policy?

We do not refund payment. However, we will defer any unused portion of your Bootcamp to another date for you to use when your schedule permits.

A $50 cancellation fee will be applied to those who drop out prior to the start of the session and the remainder of your registration fee will be refunded. If you join a session and for reasons out of your control are unable to complete that session, you will be given credit for the unused portion of your session to use in the future. Refund due to medical conditions can happen and a doctors note is required.

Refunds are not given for missed classes. If you miss a day here and there during Bootcamp you will not be credited those days unless previously arranged as listed above.

What is an Addict Pass?
An Addict Pass is available to returning Bootcampers in 3, 6, or annual blocks and enables returners to save a bundle!


May I attend different class times to fit my schedule?
Yes. Again, pre-arrange to do so upon registration.

Is there shelter from rain or bad weather? Lighting?
Most of our locations have shelter and light if we need to take cover during bad weather and sometimes we need to go inside. During the winter months we spend most of our class time inside though we are still outside on great winter days!

What results should I expect?

How soon will I see results?
"Performance Improvement" can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on your effort level. It is common to see as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss without diet adjustment. Remember, everyone is different, if you put in 100%, you'll get out 100%!

Who should join Bootcamp?
If you are looking to make improvements in your overall physical appearance and well-being, you're at the right place! You will feel more energized in your everyday life and you will look and feel more confident about yourself.

Is there a fitness assessment?
Yes, we want to track your progress! Fitness assessments consist of a 5 part fit test and a 6 point body measurements, that takes place on the first Monday and Last Friday of Bootcamp. Attendance is mandatory, as we don't want you to miss your assessments.


What kind of people are at Bootcamp?
People from all age groups, fit or sedentary you will find them at Bootcamp. Your trainer is prepared to help everyone work out to his or her 100% maximum level.

What about holidays?
Our experience has been that most people do not show up on holidays though they might plan to do so. For this reason, we will no longer hold classes on major holidays. Any holiday during the 4-week session is noted in your 'welcome email.' Click on 'Schedule' above for holiday dates.

Will I feel sore or achy?
We expect that most individuals will feel some muscle discomfort or soreness in the beginning but this will be alleviated by the bodies' strength gaining.

Is there a nutritional component to Bootcamp?
We send out weekly email lifestyle and nutrition tips to help facilitate accelerated results during the Bootcamp session. Our fitness program is always evolving and expanding. We are currently contracting a registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to provide even more support for those who request it.

What will I do after camp?
After your first session of boot camp you can rejoin at a lower cost. The returning boot camp rate and the addict pass are located on our rates page above.

What if I want to take it to the next level?
We also offer personal training for those individuals who wish to go further.
